The building is coming apart. The water doesn't care.

Architecture fractures into colour and geometry — red, grey, pink pushing against each other without resolution. But the pool holds its surface, reflects the white branches, stays luminous while everything around it loses form.

Pool 1 is the most restless work in the series — a place where the stillness of water and the instability of structure refuse to settle. Made in 2011, the final year of the Pools series.
